Best foot forward (or not)

I was going to write a post today about the therapeutic and fitness benefits of taking a recovery run the day after a race or hard training session. I was also actually looking forward to helping my body recover with an easy few miles - resting and training combined, what could be better?

Unfortunately, the bad boy in the picture has other ideas and I can hardly get my running shoes on, let alone run. This did give me three ideas though:

1. Tell my friends always carry some Compeed pads in your running kit - they are amazing!
2. Show everyone this nasty picture of the offending blister.
3. I'm going out tomorrow to buy a selection of running socks to review and compare

We should be back on track (or road) running and blogging about it tomorrow
